# Permissions, and why Whizra asks for them

Accessibility, Documents and Desktop, Full Disk Access and Notifications: what each is for in Whizra, and what works without it.

| Permission | Used for | Without it |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Accessibility | the double-tap Option shortcut; closing windows by name | open the bar from the menu bar; app quitting still works |
| Documents and Desktop folders | finding files there (macOS asks on the first search) | those folders are left out of finding |
| Full Disk Access (optional) | finding files anywhere on the Mac | finding covers your home folder |
| Notifications | "done" for long jobs while the bar is closed | no notification |

None of these send anything anywhere.
