Why we built Whizra

It started with small file jobs at home.

A family video that WhatsApp had ruined. A grade 4 school PDF where only the Sinhala pages mattered. A Sinhala Word file that had to become a PDF. WhatsApp voice notes that wouldn't play. Lecture slides we wanted as notes. A zip with a password for tax papers.

None of these were hard problems. But each one meant opening a browser, finding a converter site, uploading a private file, waiting, closing an ad, and hoping the free limit hadn't run out. Or asking an AI for a Terminal command and checking it twice before running it.

So we built the tool we wanted: press a key, type what you want in plain words, and it's done, on your Mac.

What we believe

• Your files are yours. Whizra does every job on your Mac. Your files never leave it. No account, no upload, no tracking inside the app.
• Fast is a feature. One sentence instead of a browser, a website and a download.
• Reliable beats clever. The AI only reads your sentence and picks a job we've built and tested. It never makes up commands, and it never overwrites your files. Undo is always there.
• Pay once. A tool you use every day shouldn't be a subscription.

Who it's for

Students turning lectures into notes, parents sorting school PDFs and phone photos, people at work sending documents all day. Anyone who has ever searched "compress pdf" and sighed.
