Merge PDFs on Mac
To merge PDFs on a Mac, double-tap the right Option key and type “merge these into one pdf”. One PDF next to the first file. Word files, pictures, PowerPoint and Excel files can go in the same merge and become pages.

How to do it
- Select the files in Finder, pick them with @ in the bar, or name them in plain words ("my last pdf").
- Double-tap the right Option key to open the bar.
- Type “merge these into one pdf”.
- Press Return. The new file appears next to the original.

What you get
One PDF next to the first file. Word files, pictures, PowerPoint and Excel files can go in the same merge and become pages.
The original is never changed or overwritten. Undo trashes what the job made.
Pages go in the order you selected the files. The PDF lands next to them, unless you say where.
