Siri AI vs Whizra
Siri AI and Whizra do different things well. Here's what each one does, tested on a real Mac.
Siri AI
- macOS 27 ships a Siri AI chat app (/System/Applications/Siri AI.app).
- Finding: asked for "my last pdf", it found and showed the file.
- Reading: "what is my last pdf about?" got a good summary from the file's content.
- Doing: "convert this to docx" got "I can't convert files to different formats". "rename my last pdf", "compress my last pdf" and "zip this with a password" also got "I can't…".
Whizra
- Whizra does the jobs Siri said it can't: convert, rename, compress, zip with a password, and more.
- Whizra adds "Do a File Job" and "Find Files" actions to the Shortcuts app (tested there).
Where Siri AI wins
- It's built in and free, and it answers general questions, not only file jobs.
- Its summaries of a file are good.
