HEIC to JPG on Mac in bulk

Select all the HEIC photos and convert them together. On a Mac, Finder and Preview can both do a batch for free; Whizra does it when you type convert these to jpg.

Free ways on a Mac

  • Finder: select the photos, right-click → Quick Actions → Convert Image, choose JPEG.
  • Preview: open them all in Preview, select every thumbnail in the sidebar (⌘A), then File → Export Selected Images… and choose JPEG.
  • Free tool on this site: HEIC to JPG converts a batch in your browser tab and gives you one zip; nothing is uploaded.

With Whizra

Select the photos and type convert these to jpg. The JPGs land next to the originals, turned upright. Add a step in the same sentence, like convert to jpg and resize to 1200 px, and both run as one pass.

Questions

Will the JPGs keep the location?

The free tool on this site makes JPGs without location or camera details. To remove them on purpose, see remove location before sharing.
